Ed Sheeran drives him off from Twitter after Game of Thrones backlash

The Shape of You star hit headlines earlier this month when he revealed he had "come off Twitter completely" because he could no longer deal with all of the vicious comments sent his way.

Yes, Ed Sheeran has deleted his Twitter account after criticism over his Game Of Thrones cameo appearance. The singer who tweeted under the handle @EdSheeran has removed his entire presence from the site, a month after claiming that he planned to stop using it.

The latest move comes after he had a brief cameo appearance on Game of Thrones, which was seriously mocked by some fans. He's also announced that he's going to appear in an upcoming hugely popular TV series episode of The Simpsons.

However, after many people took that as confirmation he had quit the social media site, Ed then clarified his remarks, telling fans "Loads of hoo-har about me quitting stuff. I haven't quit anything, I'm just not reading anything, except Harry Potter."

Earlier in 2016, before the realease of his album divide, the singer took a break from social media and said he was sick of seeing whole world in single screen and he wanted to travel the world and want to enjoy the moments he missed.

But this is the first time he is erased his record out and out.
