Trump easy to deal with, says PM Malcolm Turnbull
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has given an brief about his dealings with US President Donald Trump - and it involves a steel box.
Malcolm Turnbull says he finds Donald Trump “easy to deal with”.
The Prime Minister has quite recently returned from a trip to Europe and the UK, where he last week met with the US President at the G20 meeting in Hamburg, hitching a ride in Mr Trump’s armoured vehicle “The Beast” with wife Lucy and US First Lady Melania Trump.
He said 'All of my dealings with him have been very frank, very informal. He's a businessman,' Mr Turnbull told to Sunrise on Friday.
And he said he had enjoyed meeting the President along with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Theresa May in Mr Trump’s “Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility”, or “SCIF” in Hamburg.
“We had a very good discussion in his scif,” the prime minister told Channel Seven’s Sunrise program on Friday. “He’s very secure in his SCIF, which is like a large steel broom cupboard, that their presidents have, so he has like a cone of silence,” Mr Malcolm Turnbull told the Seven Network.
